Uploading Consultation Documents

The Documents area lets you upload consultation documents and then share them with the participants. Documents can be downloaded from the consultation website onto users' computers.

When you upload a new document you specify the location of the file on your computer, a name that the document will be known as within the consultation system, and also a description that will be shown when the documents are listed.

If you upload a new document and specify the same name as an existing document then that existing document will be replaced by the newly uploaded one. In this way an existing document in the consultation can be updated without having to delete it first.

Uploaded consultation documents can be of the following type:

  • Consultation Documents - describe the details of the consultation. Shown on the Consultation Documents page.
  • Print Document - a document that a participant can download, print out, fill in and send back as their response. Shown on the appropriate respond page.
  • Response Template - on online document that a participant can download and fill in electronically (eg. in a word processor) and then upload and submit as their response. Shown on the appropriate respond page.
  • Summary of Results - contains the a summary of the results of the consultation. Shown on the Consultation Documents page, and on the Consultation Results page.
